Community Listening Sessions
The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) will be conducting a series of structured listening sessions during community visits around the state. The Department would like to hear input regarding health-related issued from clients, healthcare service providers, elected officials, and the general public. Health Director Mike Ceballos will be joined by other colleagues from the Department to receive feedback about the strengths and challenges within local communities.

Past Listening Sessions
Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 - Riverton and Lander, Fremont County
WDH Director Mike Ceballos and staff visited SageWest Health Care in Lander, followed by the Lander Community Listening Session held at Fremont County Library, 451 N. 2nd Street, at 11am. At least 16 community members attended. The Riverton Listening session was held later that day, at 2pm at the Riverton Branch Library, 1330 West Park Avenue, with approximately 12 attendees. The Director and staff afterwards visited SageWest Health Care, located in Riverton.
Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 - Evanston, Uinta County
Director Ceballos along with WDH staff visited Evanston Regional Hospital, High Country Behavioral Health, Lincoln Uinta Child Development Association, and the Uinta County Public Health Nursing and WIC offices. The listening session was held at 1pm at the Unita County Library located at 701 Main Street in Evanston. At least 18 attendees participated in this session.
Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 - Rock Springs, Sweetwater County
WDH staff and leadership, including Director Mike Ceballos, visited Deer Trail Assisted Living Center, Heart Senior Center, and the Rock Springs WIC office. The listening session has hosted at the Rock Springs Library, 400 C Street, at 11am, and attended by approximately 23 community members. The afternoon included visits to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Southwest Counseling Service, the Sweetwater County Public Health Nursing office, and Rock Springs Child Development Center.
Thursday, July 18th, 2019 - Newcastle, Weston County
Director Mike Ceballos visited the Weston County Public Heath Nursing and WIC offices, Weston County Health Services, Region III Developmental Services, and Northern Wyoming Mental Health Center. The listening session began at the Weston County Event Center, 24 Fairgrounds Road, at 1pm. There were approximately 22 attendees at the listening session. That afternoon, the Director and WDH staff visited Weston County Senior Services.
Wednesday, July 17th, 2019 - Sundance, Crook County
WDH Director Mike Ceballos and WDH staff visited Crook County Senior Center and Crook County Senior Services. The Listening Session began at 1pm at Crook County Public Library, 414 East Main Street. The listening session had at least 20 attendees.
Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 - Gillette, Campbell County
The listening session began at 9am at the Campbell County Public Library, located at 2102 S 4J Road, and had approximately 38 attendees. Director Mike Ceballos and WDH staff later visited the Campbell County Memorial Hospital, Campbell County Senior Center, Children's Developmental Services of Campbell County, and the Campbell County WIC Office.
Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 - Casper, Natrona County
Director Mike Ceballos visited Central Wyoming Counseling Center, Mountain Plaza Assisted Living, and Wyoming Behavioral Institute on Monday, June 3rd, 2019. Director Ceballos was joined by other WDH staff and visited the Child Development Center, Wyoming Medical Center, and the local WIC Office. The listening session had approximately 45 attendees, and began at 2pm at Casper College's Strausner Hall, 125 College Drive.
Thursday, May 30th, 2019 - Laramie, Albany County
Director Mike Ceballos and WDH staff visited the Developmental Preschool & Day Care Center, Ark Regional Services, Peak Wellness Center, Laramie Care Center during the morning session, and visited the Albany County Public Health office later in the afternoon. The listening session began at 1pm at the Albany County Public Library, located at 310 South 8th Street. Approximately 35 attendees engaged in discussions of wide-ranging health related topics with Director Ceballos and other WDH representatives.
Friday, April 29th, 2019 - Wheatland, Platte County
Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) Director Mike Ceballos and other WDH staff visited The Platte County Outreach Center, Platte County Legacy Home, The Senior Activities Center, and Peak Wellness Center during the morning session. The listening session commenced at 1pm at the Platte County Library, located at 904 9th Street. The listening session was attended by representatives and staff from various private and public organizations.
